The genuine you

It is good to laugh when you find something funny. It is good to cry when you are sad.

You are a beautiful, unique living person, with hopes and dreams, feelings, values, opinions, thoughts and visions. It is good to let all that shine through.

People sometimes think they can appear sophisticated by denying who they truly are. Yet real sophistication and value comes from fully expressing your most genuine sentiments and truths in the way you live your life.

You'll never find fulfillment by trying to be someone you're not. You'll never find fulfillment by following someone else's dreams.

Life is always best when you live each moment as the real person you are. Though it can be painful and difficult at times, it is far better to live the genuine truth of your own being than to run and hide from it.

Go ahead and feel the joy, the pain, and fully live the ups and downs and twists and turns of the rich and wonderful life with which you're blessed. Be the real, genuine you, and there's no limit to the fulfillment you can know.

A Happy Birthday

saat ulang tahun seharusnya menjadi hari yang selalu membahagiakan...
ya dari katanya aja sudah Happy.. Birthday...
yo musti hepi toh?
apa benar begitu?
untuk siapa dulu?

setelah sempat mengalami beberapa kali ulang tahun yang menurut saya tidak membahagiakan bagi saya, jadi mikir-mikir..
ulang tahun buat saya artinya mengulang tiap tahun,
mencoba mengingat berapa umur saya tahun itu,
mencoba mengingat apa saja yang sudah saya lakukan setua itu,
mencoba mengingat mengapa saya berada di tempat saya berada sekarang,
mencoba mengingat kemana hidup saya tadinya diarahkan,
mencoba mengingat kapan terakhir saya membuat diri saya sendiri senang,
dan terutama mencoba mengingat bagaimana acara ultah saya tahun lalu,

kadang tanpa alasan saya membeli kue tar untuk dibagikan ke teman-teman kantor,
sekedar hanya supaya saya ingat apa yang saya lakukan pada hari ulang tahun saya
kadang tanpa ambil pusing saya mengundang teman-teman terdekat untuk merayakan ultah saya bersama,
saat dimana saya bisa dgn egois menentukan waktu dan tempatnya dan sering kali gak bisa sepenuhnya egois,
kadang tanpa babibu saya mengundang orang-orang yang sudah banyak berjasa pada saya dalam setahun terakhir,
saat dimana saya mengucapkan terima kasih sebesar-besarnya kepada mereka dan berharap mereka tidak pernah kapok membantu saya ataupun langsung ngacir waktu saya sapa
kadang tanpa ribut saya terkejut menerima ucapan selamat ulang tahun dari teman-teman yang kayanya punya reminder di otaknya, kalau saya ultah hari itu.
saat dimana saya merasa sangat diperhatikan oleh semuanya yang mencintai saya.
kadang tanpa pretensi apa-apa saya pengen menyendiri saja, dan menikmati hari itu
saat dimana diri berintrospeksi dan melihat jejak yang sudah dibuat
tapi yang terakhir ini tidak pernah bisa dilakukan.

Happy Birthday -- happy nya apa ya?
rasanya semuanya bukan buat saya
tapi saya senang kok kalo bisa bikin situ pikir sini hepi karena sini mengajak situ merayakan bersama
situ hepi sinipun jadi hepi
toh sini situ jadi sama-sama hepi ya?
